HVO Renewable Diesel
Hydrotreated vegetable oil, a drop-in renewable diesel that runs in standard diesel engines with no modification. Availability across the UK is still tiny; here is every forecourt currently pumping it.
HVO (sometimes branded as renewable diesel, Green D+, or HVO100) is made from waste fats and vegetable oils, processed with hydrogen rather than methanol. The result is a paraffinic fuel that meets EN 15940, burns cleaner than fossil diesel and can cut tailpipe CO2 by up to 90% on a well-to-wheel basis.
UK forecourt availability is concentrated in Northern Ireland, with a smaller scatter across mainland Britain. Prices currently sit well above standard diesel because production volumes are limited and most HVO is contracted to fleet, marine and off-road users.
Prices refresh hourly. If your local forecourt has started pumping HVO and it is not listed, the price will appear here on the next update.
